Embracing the full range of life’s experiences everyday means embracing every moment with our full presence, being open and vulnerable to reality, being gentle with ourselves when times are tough, and practicing sincere gratitude no matter what happens.

Here are 4 phrases that will encourage you to live your life positively:

1. You cannot control exactly what happens in life, but you can control how you respond to it all.  In your response is your greatest power.” The biggest and most complex obstacle we will ever have to overcome is our mind.  If we can overcome that, we can overcome anything.

Remember that life is 10% of what is happening to us and 90% on how we respond to it. Respond wisely. Be cautious about your response and decisions, if it's not going to change you to a better individual in the next 5 years or will not even get you closer to your goal, then it's not worth your time.
2. “Stop focusing on how stressed you are and remember how blessed you are.  Complaining won’t change our reality, but a positive attitude will.” Being positive does not mean ignoring the negative.  Being positive means overcoming the negative.  There is a big difference between the two.

3. “I will get back up.  Again, and again.  The faster I recover from setbacks, the faster I’ll get to where I’m going in life.” Instead of getting angry, let's find the lesson.  In place of envy, let's feel the admiration.  In place of worry, let's take positive action.  In place of doubt, let's have faith to the One who made us a wonderful creation.”

4. “The longer we remain peaceful, the stronger we become.  Peace on the inside leads to real, meaningful progress on the outside.” Let's focus on making ourselves better, not on thinking that we are better. Let's practice gratitude, even in the midst of frustration and despair, so we can better see the positive possibilities around us.

Start accepting life as it is, and accepting ourselves as we are. It means not expecting the best to happen every time, but instead accepting whatever happens every time, and making the very best of it.

This isn’t easy, of course, but it’s worth working on. YOU are worth working on.
