10 Wishes For My Dogs

We often wish for comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the rain, laughter to kiss our lips, sunsets to warm our hearts, hugs when spirit sag, beauty for others to see, confidence when we doubt, patience to accept the truth, love to complete our lives, and so on. There is nothing wrong with those wishes. In fact, those are exactly my wishes.

On the other hand, I cannot help myself to wish something for my dogs, Peach (my beagle) and Dixie (my husky). Let me guide you through some wishes that I made for them. Dog parents would truly understand these wishes and I believe they are wishing the same; maybe even more:

1. I wish they could talk. In that case, I will be able to understand them perfectly.
2. I wish they had much longer life. I believe they deserve to live as much as humans' life expectancy.
3. I wish I could take them whenever/wherever I want. Leaving them for work, school, etc. makes me miss them and vice versa.
4. I wish I could go to doggy heaven, so I can play with my deceased dogs again.
5. I wish I could acquire “magic health” potion. There is a possibility for them to get deadly diseases and it truly breaks my heart.
6. I wish everybody would appreciate them. I dislike people who are cruel towards them.
7. I wish all dogs had a loving home. I get disappointed when I see stray dogs.
8. I wish I could bake a doggy cake. They have been my stress reliever, I would like to give the favor back.
9. I wish I am a veterinarian, so I can take care of my dogs very well for 24/7.
10. I wish I can fulfill every single wishes for them. The smiles that they have given me is incomparable.

It may sound crazy for some, but I have a soft heart for dogs. Have you ever asked yourself the following questions:

1. Are dogs longing for their "FURents" (parents)?
2. Do they also wish that we humans, can understand them?
3. Is it painful for them to part with their puppies?
4. What do they feel when you treat them badly?
5. Why do they have "short" life?
6. Do they feel safe around us?

10 Signs That Your Lover Is Not A Keeper

Who wouldn't want to have a perfect relationship? I believe everybody wishes for a lover who would treat us far more than what we deserve. Nevertheless, there are deceivers everywhere that could easily break your innocent heart. Here are few indications that your lover may be not a keeper:

1. Your "babe" does not like PDA (Public Display of Affection).

If your lover truly loves you, he/she will not refuse to show you any form of affection in public.

2. Your "baby" does not show any fascination about your interests.

A true lover will try his/her best to learn about your interests and at the same time, share his/her interests as well.

3. Your "sweetie" is the only one who controls the preferred time and place for a rendezvous.

A true lover would want to meet you 24/7 if possible. If your lover often wants to meet you late in the evening, then probably, he/she just desires a FuBu.

4. Your "honey" does not praise your achievements.

He/she does not care even about your simple accomplishments.

5. Your "cupcake" unconsiously treats you like you are his/her slave.
He/she is always on the wheel and does not care about your opinion.

6. Your "snowflakes" does not want to meet your parents.
He/she simply makes excuses all the time to avoid meeting them.

7. Your "honeybunch" does not want your excessive cling towards them.
He/she wants to keep things casual in the relationship.

8. Your "bae" avoids discussion about the future with you.
He/she prefers to go with the flow under any circumstances throughout the course of relationship.

9. Your "sugar" treats you inconsistently.
A true lover who wants to be in a strong relationship is willing to adjust for you.

10. Your "sweetheart" is too good to be true.
He/she is smooth like a baby's skin; however, you can see the lies in his/her eyes.

These are only some of the common traits of a "player" within a relationship — not all players act the same.

If you can identify the majority of these traits in your partner, then at least you will have to decide for yourself. The questions are: do you want to pursue this type of relationship? Or do you want a geniune and rewarding relationship?

Meet Grace, everybody's friend

I've been seeing the phrases, "God is good" and "God is real" on my Facebook timeline lately. During those times, I knew He was sending a message to me. I've been asking Him about these "signs" until yesterday; I received an email stating that some of my articles has been accepted and published on EzineArticles.com. I was ecstatic when I read the email and couldn't believe that I have received such a good news. I've always wanted my articles to be published in some websites for quite sometime now. He answered my prayer in an unexpected way and timing.

The revelation came to me quickly, "He grants our heart's desires and make all our plans succeed, even though we are not deserving for the prize. We just need to fully trust Him for He is never in a hurry, but He is always on time." We should be thankful for all of our undeserved grace. However, I sometimes ask myself if we are thanking Him enough. Are we acknowledging Him with all our hearts? (My hands are shaking while typing this article. Thank You because I know You are blessing me).

Remember that He is generous. We can request anything to Him as long as we are obeying Him and being patient and faithful. Let's utilize our talents to glorify Him, I know that He will be pleased and proud. Thanking Him once is not enough for all the great blessings that He has bestow for us. We should thank Him by offering our hearts and soul every single day.

Some people (including myself) only remember Him when something "unexpected" has happened. We normally disregard Him when things are going well for us. That breaks His heart, nevertheless, He will never get weary of loving and blessing us with undeserved grace. Everybody wants to be loved yet some can't fully love our Creator. Expressing love for Him should not be a mere, "I love you, Lord." Loving Him is surrendering to His will.

The same day, a friend posted on his Facebook status that he thinks he's experiencing depression. I messaged him without a single thought. I told him, "Satan is distracting/discouraging you because you're being faithful and growing spiritually with God. Don't let him win!" He appreciated my advice and I felt blessed.

Again, revelations came to me:
1. "Best fights are the ones we avoid." - Mr. Han (The Karate Kid 2010)
Battling with Satan is exhausting. The more we get closer to God, the more Satan will try to discourage us. Be strong and stand firm.

2.."Being still and doing nothing are two very different things." - Mr. Han (The Karate Kid 2010)

Be patient and trust Him. Allow yourself to meditate in His words to discover His plans for you. Do it step by step, one at a time.

3. "Nobody's perfect but being a blessing is a blessing."

No matter how sinful we are, He will still use us to bless someone.

To wrap it up:

I encourage you to thank Him for all the blessings that you received. Start with the simplest things, count your blessings and share it. Delight, meditate, day and night.

Let us always remember that finding a job is also a competition. Employers want to hire applicants that are suited in their own qualifications. Applicants that has a special skill, knowledge, or ability for a particular job or activity. Listed below are the top skills and values employers seek from job-seekers:

Overcome the fear of singleness

Never chase love, affection, or attention. If it isn't given freely by another person, it isn't worth having. Fearing singleness might mean you are gradually being a desperate woman/man. Desperate people throw themselves while weak ones accept the offer. Never allow yourself to be so desperate that you end up settling for far less than what you deserve. Don't be too dependent with someone because that could lessen your self-worth. So, here are some possible major signs that you are being desperate for a man/woman:

1. You regularly let his/her inconsideration and indiscretions slide.

Let's say he/she's rude, mean, arrogant, and most importantly, treats you poorly. Rather than get out of that shitty relationship, you decide to stay, thinking he/she loves you (or has the potential to). You don't want to give up on finding love, right? Just because he/she's convenient does not mean you should tolerate bad behavior or abuse! Having a relationship is pointless if you're forcing happiness.

2. You're always making excuses for him/her.

You have been mollywhopped by rants and raves about your worthlessness. But you still find a reason to defend your man/woman's honor because you're so scared of him/her leaving. You would rather pardon the behavior than confront the obvious fact that he/she's not worth the emotional and mental investment. Make excuses or make changes, the choice is yours.

3. You settle immediately.

You haven't been single longer than a week in your whole adult life. "Anyone will do." This includes the guy/girl who never showers, the man/woman who constantly interrupts you, or the well-known drug addict around your neighborhood. If everyone is good enough for you, you clearly have no standards.

4. You confuse intimacy with love.

Sex is one way in which people give and receive love, although it is very important, it is not the only way to develop or express intimacy. Maybe he/she told you beforehand that he/she wasn't looking for anything serious but you convinced yourself he/she might have feelings for you anyway. Not playing the blame game here, but either way, showing signs of desperation is not a good choice. Instead of trying to hide negative things, accept and embrace them. The more you love yourself, the more your future boyfriend/girlfriend will love you. He/she will treat you with the affection and respect you deserve.
