Walking your dog each day is Canine Care 101. A walk provides your pooch with exercise and, of course, a potty break. While letting your dog run around the backyard or taking him to the dog park can be good exercise, it isn't a substitute for walking. These activities don't offer the same mental stimulation your dog gets by investigating every smell, sight, and sound when you take him for a stroll. As you and your dog walk, he's gathering information about how his territory has changed since the last time he was on that same route. Me and my husband walk our dogs at night; simply because we are working during day time. So let me share these 6 tips for walking your dogs at night:

1. Be Visible
Everyone in your pedestrian party should be wearing something reflective. As the pet parent, wear a bright reflective vest and consider purchasing one for your dog. Check your neighborhood pet store for leash lights, blinking collars, and reflective harnesses - all of these are smart choices to protect the ones you love.

2. Tag Fido!
Dog can't talk. This means, if one of the furry loves of your life runs for the hills on the tail of a mischievous cat, they can't tell anyone where they belong. You should never leave home without detailed ID tags for your dogs.

3. Follow The Light
Although not always possible, when it is, opt for the more well-lit paths. Not only is it safer to be within hearing range of other humans, but dark trails accomodate animals that can be aggressive and dangerous.

4. Hold The Phone!
If you are out at night to spend time with that four-legged friend, then spend time with him or her and keep your cell phone in your pocket. Besides, you can't pay attention to your dog, traffic, other pedestrians, and traffic signs if you're fiddling with your phone. However, emergencies do occur and having cell phones can save lives, so don't leave home without it.

5. Turn Off The Tunes
You should always be aware of your surroundings, especially at night! Our sense of hearing alerts us to motorists behind us; bikers and joggers; other dogs and animals; and all sorts of other potential dangers. Remember, it's not just your safety, but your furry friend's too!

6. A Trained Dog Is A Safe Dog
Taking a walk, whether in the day of at night, should be an enjoyable experience for both of you. If you allow your dog to pull you all around the neighborhood, you are not only making it uncomfortable for you, but dangerous for both of you. Training a dog to be a well-behaved walker lessens the likelihood that he or she will pull you both into oncoming traffic, run after a cat, or challenge another dog.

Sub for lip gloss.

Rub on split ends between haircuts.

Mix with lipstick to make cremé blush for cheeks.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar

Everyone knows makeup ― the good kind ― can be expensive! Here's how to make your favorite products work twice as hard (and thus be more cost-effective)

Try some of these:

Mascara can double as eyeliner. Just dip a thin brush in ― the same as if you were using liquid liner.

Hairstylist can't squeeze you in this week? Use mascara to cover gray roots.

Blush can work as eye shadow, especially if a more earthy tone.

Swipe shimmery eye shadow in a neutral color to set your lipstick. (I've been doing this for more than 3 years already!)

Apples are filled with pectin, which fights acne.

Mash up a strawberry with baking soda and use it to whiten your teeth.

1. Never force changes.
People can only change themselves. Instead of trying to change your partner, give them your support and lead by example. Keep in mind that the best way to love someone is not to change them, but instead to help them reveal the greatest version of themselves.

2. A great relationship isn’t needy.
In a great relationship, you love each other more than you need each other. Remember that constant need for attention is exhausting.

3. Even the greatest relationship won’t completely fix YOU.
If you’re not happy with yourself, or comfortable with your own truth when entering a relationship, there’s a good chance you’re not ready for that relationship. Work on loving yourself first.

4. Accepting "No relationship lasts forever."
People don’t live forever. Appreciate the loving moments and all the little things. Just because something doesn’t last forever, doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth your while.

Relationships can get complicated for a lot of reasons. For instance, a complicated relationship may be a one sided love affair where one person wants to save the relationship while the other person just wants to let go or even go with someone else. For all the women out there, here are 8 Things You Should Avoid Doing With You Man:

1. Avoid being too much of a drama queen.
It is completely normal for girls to feel sad sometimes, but not all the time. Focus on the brigther and positive side instead of being negative and critical about the "random" things.

2. Avoid being too overly attached.
Don’t suffocate him, just like you, guys need their space too. Don't be too dependent on your man. If you're too needy, go back to daddy!

3. Avoid being too jealous.
If you’re always jealous, you may start to feel possessive. Getting upset and feeling rejected most of the time isn't a good sign.

4. Avoid complaining too much.
It’s not a good idea to complain about every minor things. For example, complaining drastically because he didn't open the door right after you knocked? Girl, please reevaluate your actions.

5. Avoid being too complicated.
Don't let your relationship suffer just because of your mood swings. Instead of being too complicated, try to be funny, lively, and spontaneous.

6. Avoid being too manipulative.
Stop being devious, deceptive or sometimes even abusive just to satisfy yourself.

7. Avoid being a poor communicator.
Unfortunately, we don’t live in a perfect world, and people can’t read our minds. Never assume that your man always know what you are thinking. Most of them don't understand your "hints".

8. Avoid blackmailing.
Never use emotional blackmail to get what you want. Screaming, shouting, crying as opposed to calmly discussing the preferences, needs, and desires.

Try not to cross that line between feminine and slutty toddler who throws tantrums whenever she wants. There’s a difference between sorting out a problem and simply criticizing every little thing that’s not going your way. Don’t lay everything out on the table at once; concentrate on one thing at a time, and then tie it back to the bigger picture. In the end, it should always be about the two of you and how you are going to get through things together.

Everyone’s relationship is unique, and people come together for many different reasons. But there are some things that good relationships have in common. Knowing the basic principles of healthy relationships helps keep them meaningful, fulfilling, and exciting in both happy times and sad. I am married for 2 years now and I must admit that our relationship is not flawless. It’s important to recognize that there are ups and downs in every relationship; you won’t always be on the same page. However, let me share these 13 Ways to Keep your Relationship Healthy and Happy:

1. Love and accept each other.
Love means that you accept a person with all their failures, stupidities, ugly points, etc. You don't need someone who can complete you; you need someone who can accept you completely. "Learn to love with all your heart and accept the unlovable side of others. For anyone can love a rose, but it takes a great heart to include the thorns."

2. Keep your promises and tell the truth.
Don't make a promise that you can't keep. It's better to hurt your lover with the truth than to comfort him/her with a lie.

3. Never stop communicating.
Relationships cannot grow without the proper amount of communication. Good communication can make you feel connected, understood, appreciated and more loved. Even if you are in a long distance relationship, distance isn't a big factor; communication is.

4. Never talk about break-ups.
Maybe you're just angry and initiating break-ups for the wrong reasons. When times get tough, it’s easy for the mind to drift to fantasyland and make conclusions. Don’t assume your current state of unhappiness is solely the fault of the relationship.

5. Never say "it's okay" even if it's not.
Conflict is inevitable in any relationship, but to keep a relationship strong, both people need to feel they’ve been heard. The goal is not to win but to resolve the conflict with respect and love. Don't try to be a hypocrite to your partner. Just say what you have in mind. If it's not okay, then it's not. Actually, he/she may comfort or find ways to make you feel okay.

6. Forget about pride.
Build a relationship that works with love than fight with pride. "Apologizing doesn't always mean you're wrong. At times, you do it because you value the relationship and you love the person more than your pride."

7. If you say sorry, mean it.
You can say sorry a million times, but if you're not going to prove or mean those things, then don't say anything at all. If you can't show it, your words don't mean a thing.

8. Avoid talking about your ex's.
Not every relationship is a good fit, but don’t sabotage a potentially awesome relationship by insisting on talking about an ex – it’s not worth it!

9. Don't compare your past to your present.
If we are comparing our partner to the “last one,” we are not appreciating the present, thereby restricting joy. Comparing your past to your present hurts your growth with your current partner. Unless you begin to live in the present and experience new levels of intimacy with your current partner, your relationship will never reach its full potential.

10. Give and take process.
Healthy relationships are a give and take process. There can’t be more giving than there is taking nor can there be more taking than there is giving. Learn how to make compromises, how to accept flaws and how to work together.

11. Be aware of his/her feelings.
Acknowledge the emotions of your lover, being thoughtful and considerate of his/her feelings will help you understand each other.

12. Forgive without punishing.
Sometimes, forgiveness isn’t easy. Betrayal and abuse can hurt (both emotionally and physically), which can cause us to struggle with true forgiveness. However, forgiveness is not for the one who hurt you; it is for you.

13. Speak without accusing / Answer without arguing.
Stop treating your fights like wars. It's easy to get caught up in anger and say things you don't mean in the heat of the moment, but that doesn't make it okay. Try to understand the issue; try to understand each other and fight the problem together.

Change is inevitable in life, and it will happen whether you go with it or fight it. Flexibility is essential to adapt to the change that is always taking place in any relationship, and it allows you to grow together through both the good times and the bad.

Who wouldn't want to have a positive outlook in life? I know we all do. However, we live in a world where change, sadness, stress, and negativity is common. We sometimes think of giving up, but we know that deep in our hearts that it will never be the answer to our problems. The phrase "nothing is permanent", can be considered as both bad and good news. These are the following phrases that kept me thinking positive throughout my life:

1. If the grass looks greener on the other side, stop staring and comparing. Stop complaining and start watering the grass you’re standing on.

2. For everything you’ve lost, you’ve gained something else. Appreciate what you have today. Life does not have to be perfect to be wonderful.

3. Just because you are struggling does NOT mean you are failing. Every great success requires some kind of struggle to get there.

4. Even though you cannot control everything that happens, you can control your attitude toward what happens.

5. Use your struggles and frustrations today to motivate you rather than annoy you. You are in control of the way you look at life.

6. Stop beating yourself up. You are a work in progress; which means you get there a little at a time, not all at once.

7. Sometimes mistakes must be made so wisdom can be earned. Sometimes you must overcome heartache so you can begin to follow your heart again.

8. The true measure of your success is how many times you can bounce back from failure.

9. When you are no longer able to change a situation, you are challenged to change yourself.

Even thirty minutes of brisk exercise (a steady walk) can go a long way to keeping weight under control.

They are intelligent animals with keen senses that would naturally be used for scavenging and in some cases hunting. By taking your dog out of his property on a daily basis you are giving him an opportunity to use his senses and to engage his mind.

3. Socialising opportunities - While many people make an effort to socialise their puppies, they don’t realise that socialising should be a life-long endeavour. Dogs that continue to go out of their properties on a regular basis have the chance to meet other people and dogs as well as to experience the world around them. 4. Outlet for excess energy - Young healthy dogs are extremely energetic. They need an outlet for their energy in order not to become over-excitable and uncontrollable in our home.

Taking your dog for a walk gives him something positive to do instead. He could learn to sit before crossing a road, to lie down quietly while you rest on a bench and read the paper and to follow you at all times or get left behind! The more that you share in life the stronger your bond with your dog will be.

7. Longevity - Because dogs that get regular exercise are fitter and healthier than those that don’t, they usually live longer. As joints weaken with age it is extremely important to keep muscles as strong as possible so that they can support the joints and enable the dog to continue to get around for as long as possible. Moderate daily exercise helps enormously in this regard.

8. Getting the most out of your companion animal - Dogs are companion animals. A companion is someone who spends time with you and shares things with you. To get the best out of our dogs they should be part of the family, included in family activities and outings. A dog that is used to daily walks will easily fit in on family hikes, picnics and visits to the beach.

9. Sheer enjoyment - Going for a walk makes a dog happy. As soon as we start to get ready for a walk our generally calm and relaxed dogs start to show excitement and come to supervise as we put on walking shoes etc. They cannot wait to grab a ball and get out the gate or in the car.

10. Human Benefits - People who walk their dogs daily experience many of the same benefits that their canine companions do: Good health, fitness and weight control, as well as the pleasure of experiencing the outdoors and meeting other dog owners. Certainly one of my greatest enjoyments in life is watching our dogs have such a good time.
